Rossbach thanks Azerbaijan for hosting ministerial meeting as part of WUF13

Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), has thanked the Government of Azerbaijan for hosting the Ministerial Meeting on the New Urban Agenda at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Report informs.

She made the statement at the ministerial meeting dedicated to the New Urban Agenda.

"Let me begin by thanking the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan for hosting this important Ministerial Meeting on the New Urban Agenda on the opening day of WUF13," she said.

According to her, 2026 is not only a time to take stock of the New Urban Agenda's implementation but also a moment to chart the future course of development.

The head of UN-Habitat emphasized that the New Urban Agenda remains a key global platform for housing and sustainable urbanization.

"Cities and human settlements are not only a hub for challenges but also a platform for the large-scale implementation of solutions," she noted.
