Zelenskyy urges global push to get China to influence Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on the international community to find ways to persuade China to use its influence on Russia to help end the war, Report informs.

He made the remarks at the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen held in Kyiv.

According to Zelenskyy, Moscow is already closely tied to Beijing as a supplier of raw materials and an economic partner, while China possesses significant levers of influence.

The Ukrainian leader added that responding to this call depends on the strength and unity of the US and its Western allies, as well as their determination to maintain sanctions, seize Russian assets, and deepen Moscow's international isolation.
