Zelenskyy presents Ukraine's new National Security Council secretary

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially presented Ihor Klymenko as the new secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, NSDC, Report informs.

Zelenskyy wrote about this on social media.

According to him, Klymenko proved his effectiveness as Ukraine's interior minister, where he successfully coordinated the work of law enforcement agencies and rescue services. Zelenskyy said a similar coordinating role should now be strengthened as much as possible within the NSDC.

The Ukrainian leader said he expected faster and more coordinated work to prepare the country for winter, as well as stronger interaction among all structures of Ukraine's Security and Defense Forces.

Zelenskyy said he expected Klymenko to submit proposals on decisions needed to achieve more significant results for Ukraine.

The post of NSDC secretary was previously held by Rustem Umerov.
