Zelenskyy: Death toll from Russian strike in Bucha reaches 38

The liquidation of the consequences of a large-scale Russian strike on the Bucha district of the Kyiv region in Ukraine is ongoing, Report informs, citing a Telegram post by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, the attack by the Russian Armed Forces has claimed 38 lives to date, with 20 people-including two children-injured, and another four listed as missing.

"Work is continuously underway in the village of Mila, Bucha district, to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strike. Rescuers have managed to extinguish most of the fires. Emergency services personnel are also working on-site round the clock to detect and neutralize explosive ordnance. The scale of territorial contamination is significant, and this work will continue...", the publication states.

According to the Ukrainian leader, Russian troops continue to attack civilian infrastructure, including using jet-powered drones.

"In total, over this past week alone, the Russian Armed Forces launched nearly 2,000 attack drones, more than 1,600 guided aerial bombs, and 31 missiles of various types, including North Korean ballistics, at Ukrainian territory. Strikes are effectively ongoing around the clock against frontline and border communities: Nikopol, Kramatorsk, Kherson, as well as communities in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Donetsk, and Sumy regions," he specified.

Zelenskyy also stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will respond to every single Russian strike on Ukrainian territory.
