Xi Jinping says China to take over BRICS presidency in 2027

Chinese President Xi Jinping said Saturday that China will assume the BRICS presidency next year and will host the 19th BRICS Summit, Report informs via Xinhua.

He made the remark today at the 18th BRICS summit held in New Delhi, India.

"In 2027, China will once again serve as the rotating chair of BRICS. All parties eagerly expect China to unite the collective wisdom and strong synergy of BRICS countries to write a new chapter of cooperation," China Central Television (CCTV) quoted Xi Jinping as saying.
