WSJ: Ukraine War to cost global economy $2.8 trillion

The war in Ukraine will cost the global economy $2.8 trillion by the end of next year, The Wall Street Journal said, Report informs via UNIAN.

The Ukraine war led to a jump in energy prices, which led to a decrease in household income and undermined the confidence of the business community. The war disrupted supply chains, causing shortages of food and other essentials.

The West fears that the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin on partial mobilization and preparations for "referendums" in the occupied territories of Ukraine may drag the war for many months or even years.
