The war in Ukraine has led to a catastrophic weakening of the European Union, and its leaders have not been able to prevent it, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó told the Open Balkans summit in Belgrade today.
Report informs citing TASS that, according to Szijjártó, the conflict in Ukraine, its "economic impact and devastating energy crisis - all this has led to a catastrophic weakening of Europe and the European Union."
"Sitting at this table, we must tell the truth, and the truth is that EU leaders have failed to protect the people in Europe from paying the bills of a war for which they are not responsible at all," Szijjártó said.
