Uzbekistan and Malaysia intend to expand cooperation in the fields of education, tourism, and culture, according to Report's correspondent in Tashkent.
The remarks were made by Badrul Isa, a representative of Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia), speaking to students at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi (TUIT).
According to him, the Malaysian side is interested in developing interaction with Uzbekistani universities in education, culture, tourism, and media.
"As part of a joint initiative, students from Malaysia are studying the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, as well as creating photo and video materials and content for social networks. This work is aimed at promoting the country as a tourist destination," he said.
Badrul Isa also expressed hope for expanding academic exchanges and implementing new joint projects between universities of the two countries.
