US returning to Paris climate agreement

The US will again become a party to the Paris climate agreement on Feb. 19 after a four-month break, Report informs referring to TASS.
Immediately after his inauguration on Jan. 20, the 46th US President Joe Biden signed a decree on the country’s accession to the agreement.
Returning to the Paris Agreement took only 30 days, while the exit continued for several years.
On the day the US re-accedes to the treaty, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will speak online with the US Presidential Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry about how Washington can also help protect the environment.
