The number of recorded COVID-19 cases in the United States increased by 58,387 per day. Thus, the country's total number of COVID-19 cases exceeded 8.2 million, Report says, citing the American Johns Hopkins University.
According to experts, since the beginning of the pandemic, the infection has already infected 8,215,605 people in the US. So far, 220,134 patients fell victim to the virus, 445 of those in the last 24 hours.
A day earlier, there were 48,210 COVID-19 cases and 388 deaths in America. More than 3.2 million Americans have successfully coped with the disease.
The United States is still the leader in the number of coronavirus cases. Moreover, India ranks second with 7, 597 063 infections.
