US and Türkiye to fight against ISIS in coordinated manner

Report informs via TRT Haber that it was stated during a phone conversation between Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin and his Turkish counterpart Yasar Guler.

The parties noted the importance of preventing further escalation of the situation in Syria, as well as the risk for the US and its partners.

Austin emphasized that the United States is closely monitoring the statements and actions of various groups in Syria.

It is stated that steps should be taken to ensure the safety of civilians and international humanitarian standards should be respected.

Austin and Guler reaffirmed that close coordination between the US and Türkiye is necessary to fight ISIS.
