United States evacuates nearly 7,000 people from Kabul airport

Over 5,200 US soldiers ensure the airport's security in the capital of Afghanistan, general Hank Taylor, responsible for logistics during the evacuation from the Afghan capital, said at a regular briefing for journalists in Pentagon, Report informs, citing TASS.
He noted that the Kabul airport remains safe and open for flights.
Notably, the United States has reportedly evacuated around 7,000 people from the Kabul airport.
