According to preliminary estimates, the damage to Ukraine as a result of the war started by Russia is at least $ 500 billion, Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko said, Report informs, citing UNIAN.
"Many logistics chains have been broken, many businesses have been destroyed, and some have been shut down as workers leave. The Ministry of Economy estimates that the damage amounts to nearly half of the country's GDP, or about $ 500 billion. But the exact figure will be announced only after the end of the war," the minister said.
