Ukraine strikes military-industrial facility near Moscow

Ukraine has carried out a drone strike on the Central Research Institute of Precision Machine Building (TsNIITochMash) in Podolsk, near Moscow, Report informs via Ukrainian media outlets.

The facility is part of the Rostec state corporation.

The strike hit the enterprise located in Klimovsk, a city in Podolsk Urban Okrug, sparking a fire on the premises.

The institute specializes in the production of firearms, combat gear, and ammunition, including the Ratnik combat equipment, AS Val assault rifle, VSS Vintorez sniper rifle, and SR-1 Gyurza pistol.

The facility is under sanctions imposed by the European Union, the US, Ukraine, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, and New Zealand.
