Ukraine's parliament appoints Serhiy Koretskyy as prime minister

Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has appointed Serhiy Koretskyy as prime minister, Report's Eastern Europe bureau informs.
A total of 289 lawmakers voted in favor of Koretskyy's candidacy, which was submitted to parliament by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Koretskyy replaces Yulia Svyrydenko, who served as prime minister for one year, from July 17, 2025.
Before his appointment, Koretskyy was chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
