The United Kingdom will allocate an additional $100 million in support to Kyiv, the UK government said in a statement.
The funds will be allocated to the Ukraine state budget to soften the financial pressure caused by the situation in Russia. They can be used to pay salaries to workers in the public sector, to support the system of social protection and payment of pensions.
British assistance is already being received by those who need it most, and they are receiving medical supplies and essentials, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said. According to him, while only Putin can completely end the suffering in Ukraine, today's new funding is designed to help those facing a deteriorating humanitarian situation.
