UK sends Ukraine over 25,000 of pledged 120,000 drones

The UK has delivered more than 25,000 drones to Ukraine out of the 120,000 pledged for this year.

According to Report, citing Interfax-Ukraine, UK Defense Secretary Wes Streeting made the statement at the opening of a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format.

"We are also making significant progress in fulfilling the commitments made by my predecessors to deliver 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year. We have now delivered more than 25,000, with thousands more due to arrive shortly," the minister said.

The UK will also continue supplying Ukraine with ammunition for heavy artillery. According to Streeting, tens of thousands of additional rounds will be delivered soon with funding from Germany, Denmark, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Germany, in turn, intends to step up military support for Ukraine, including by supplying PAC-2 interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. Berlin also plans to continue deliveries of drones and long-range munitions to Kyiv.
