Twelve illegal migrants from Morocco detained in Ceuta following attack on military personnel

Twelve illegal migrants from Morocco have been detained in the autonomous city of Ceuta in Spain following an attack on a group of military personnel, Report informs, citing the portal El Faro de Ceuta.

Four service members were injured in an ambush staged by a group of 30 to 40 illegal migrants who arrived in Ceuta during a mass entry.

The soldiers were traveling in an unarmored vehicle toward an observation post when they were attacked by migrants who pelted the vehicle with large stones.

The military personnel were forced to abandon the vehicle and flee, with the attackers pursuing them, continuing to strike them and throw stones, resulting in injuries to the soldiers' backs and arms.

Following a call to emergency services, units of the National Police and the Civil Guard were dispatched to the scene. Some of the attackers jumped into the sea, and the search for them continues.
