Ankara may lay the foundation for a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Astana, Report informs.
Erdogan emphasized that Türkiye will continue its efforts to establish peace in the region and worldwide.
"Türkiye may lay the foundation for reaching an agreement to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine first with a ceasefire and then with a peace agreement. A fair peace that can satisfy both sides is possible," he pointed out.
