In a stunning display of international cooperation, Turkish police have successfully conducted a high-stakes operation in Spain, resulting in the dismantling of a major international drug cartel. The crown jewel of this operation was the arrest of the criminal network's leader, marking a significant victory in the global war on drugs.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the triumph, stating, "An international drug cartel has been destroyed. We've apprehended Kerim Daglioglu, also known as Emre Karaca, the network's leader who was on Türkiye's international wanted list."
The operation, codenamed ARGAY, was executed with precision by the Turkish Drug Enforcement Agency.
