Trump says progress made toward establishing US military base in Poland

Washington and Warsaw have reached an understanding on establishing a US military base in Poland.

According to Report, US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that significant progress had been made toward establishing a US Army base in Poland thanks to what he described as the determined leadership of Polish President Karol Nawrocki.

Trump said that if the plan went ahead, the location of the base would be announced very soon and that it would mark a historic step for the US-Polish alliance.

Earlier, Poland's Defense Ministry said it was discussing with the United States the relocation of part of the production of Patriot air defense systems to Poland.
