Trump believes Soros is behind US protests

US President Donald Trump has again proposed a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) investigation into billionaire and philanthropist George Soros over his alleged funding of protests across the country.

"And we're going to look into Soros, because I think it's a RICO case against him and other people," Trump said in a Fox News interview on Friday. "Because this is more than like protests. This is real agitation."

Trump made a similar threat in a Truth Social post last month, warning Soros and his son that the government is "watching you."

Earlier this week, Trump traveled to a Washington, DC, restaurant where he was confronted by protesters. Trump believes that Soros, a major Democratic donor, may have funded this action.

Soros has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to the Democrats since 2020 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Joe Biden.
