The Times: Starmer may decide on resignation in the coming days

According to Report, citing The Times, the sources familiar with the matter said despite publicly stating his intention to remain in office, Starmer has privately acknowledged to close associates that a significant number of lawmakers from the ruling Labour Party support his departure.

The newspaper reports that the prime minister plans to make a final decision regarding a possible resignation over the weekend after consulting with his wife, Victoria Starmer, and other family members.

Earlier today, Starmer stated that he had no intention of voluntarily stepping down after Andy Burnham won a by-election for a seat in the House of Commons.
