The Guardian: Falcon 9 upper stage to impact the Moon

The four-ton upper stage of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is set to collide with the Moon's surface on the morning of August 5.

According to Report, citing The Guardian, the rocket stage is the one that launched Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost-1 lunar lander and ispace's Japanese lunar spacecraft, Resilience, toward the Moon on January 15, 2025.

According to experts' calculations, the impact is expected to occur at around 06:35 GMT (10:35 Baku time). The upper stage is projected to strike the Moon's surface at a speed of approximately 8,690 km/h.
