The death toll from the drone attack on Nizhnekamsk has risen to 13, while 48 people have been injured, the press service of the head of Tatarstan said, Report informs via Russian media.

Twelve people were killed and another 39 injured in a drone attack on Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan.

According to Report, citing Russian media, the press service of the head of Tatarstan said the casualties were caused by the attack.

Tatarstan head Rustam Minnikhanov declared a period of mourning in the republic following the deaths.

Russia's Tatarstan region came under a drone attack on the morning of August 10, with fatalities reported in Nizhnekamsk.

According to Report, Nizhnekamsk Mayor Radmir Belyaev said on Telegram that a massive attack on the city was ongoing.

He said drones were targeting both industrial and civilian facilities.

"Unfortunately, there are fatalities," Belyaev said.

He added that the situation was under constant monitoring by the regional authorities.
