Sybiha says Zelenskyy-Trump talks could advance ceasefire

Ukraine expects significant results from a new meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said.

According to Report, citing RBC-Ukraine, Sybiha told journalists that Kyiv was ready for an energy ceasefire with Russia but did not see any interest in such an arrangement from the Kremlin.

"We are preparing for President Zelenskyy's meeting with President Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, and I believe that one of the main outcomes of this meeting could be achieving a ceasefire," the minister said.

Sybiha added that the discussions could concern both an energy ceasefire and an end to attacks in the Black Sea.

He reiterated that Ukraine wanted to end the war.
