Sweden's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iran's ambassador and notified him of the decision to expel one of the staff members of the Iranian diplomatic mission in Stockholm, according to international media outlets, cited by Report.
"An employee of the Iranian Embassy in Sweden was instructed to leave the country due to activities incompatible with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the Swedish Government Offices said in a statement.
Swedish Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer confirmed the decision in a statement to AFP, linking it to what he called "systematic hostile activities by Iran on Swedish territory."
