Iran must stop the destabilizing actions of pro-Iranian forces in the Middle East, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at a press conference, Report informs referring to Interfax.
The US has seen drone and missile attacks on US positions in Iraq and Syria, as well as attacks on commercial shipping. This increases the risk of escalation, he said, noting that Iran must influence them.
Stoltenberg noted that the actions of pro-Iranian forces are carried out against the backdrop of NATO’s wide presence in the Middle East, including as part of the alliance’s mission to build up its capabilities in Iraq.
