The elite French police force, the BRI special forces, have gone on strike, Report informs referring to TF1 TV channel.
Around 400 special forces officers across the country have joined the strike, refusing to work overtime.
They have reduced their shifts and night patrols in cars. In a communiqué, the police union Alliance police nationale demanded recognition of the difficulty and danger of their work and an increase in bonuses for overtime.
BRI regional officers were offered a bonus of 400 euros, but they are demanding that it be increased to 650 euros, as in the case of the RAID special forces or the BRI Paris unit.
