Shoigu: Modernity level of Russia's strategic nuclear forces brought to 95%

The level of modernity in Russia's strategic nuclear forces has been brought to 95%, they have high combat readiness, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during an extended meeting of the Board of the Russian Defense Ministry with the participation of President Vladimir Putin, Report informs.

“In the context of the changing nature of military threats and the emergence of new military-political risks, the role of the nuclear triad, which ensures the balance of power, the strategic balance of power in the world, has grown significantly,” Shoigu said.

According to him, “this year, thanks to the consistent implementation of the state armament program and the efficient work of defense enterprises, the level of modern weapons and equipment of the strategic nuclear forces as a whole has been brought to 95%, and the naval component to almost one hundred percent.”

Shoigu also noted that Russia will continue its military actions in 2024 “until the tasks in Ukraine are fully completed.”
