Serbia to dissolve parliament, hold snap election on October 25

Serbia's current parliament will be dissolved on September 9, with a snap election scheduled for October 25, President Aleksandar Vučić said.

According to Report, he made the announcement on Radio Television of Serbia.

Earlier, Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut submitted a proposal to the president to dissolve parliament as part of the standard procedure ahead of elections.

Vučić himself will be nominated by the Serbian Progressive Party for the post of prime minister.
