The Russian-Ukrainian conflict is costing Ukraine $450 million a day, Report informs, citing statements by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in an interview with the Kazakh outlet Ulysmedia.kz.
"One day of the war costs us $450 million," the minister said.
According to him, there is currently no dynamic in the peace process between Kyiv and Moscow.
"We have no dynamic in the peace process, we cannot end this war. Ukraine is ready, and we are committed to peace efforts. We have repeatedly stated this at all international venues. We are ready for a ceasefire, an unconditional ceasefire. We have a proposal to stop where we are," Sybiha said.
The head of the foreign policy department also noted that Kyiv is ready for a meeting at the presidential level.
"We are ready for any format of interaction. We believe that diplomacy should now gain new strength, a new dynamic to stop this war. We are ready, and we declare and propose this," he noted.
According to him, Kyiv will never accept any proposals at the cost of Ukraine's territorial integrity: "This is out of the question."
The minister also emphasized that a visit by the US president's special envoys to Ukraine is expected in the near future.
"We are awaiting the arrival of representatives of the American negotiating group. We have received a package of ideas from them, new ideas, proposals, and Ukraine is working with them on this project. Therefore, the meeting will definitely take place. <...> Mr. [Donald] Trump and the American side are today acting as the main diplomatic track in our peace efforts. But we are also talking now about a new role for Europe. The role of our European allies is important to us. These are not alternative, but mutually complementary tracks. Ukraine uses every opportunity to achieve peace," Sybiha added.
