Russia’s borders with other countries will gradually open as the situation with coronavirus improves, Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said, Report informs, referring to RIA Novosti.
At the same time, no one can predict when this will happen, she noted.
"No one can firmly say when they will be ready to open the borders for citizens of other states. We are closely monitoring the situation. We expect that as soon as it allows, the borders will gradually open," she said.
Matvienko noted that the situation with coronavirus in Russia is objectively improving. This was the result of, among other things, the beginning of mass vaccination, she said.
