Russia considers withdrawing from grain deal - Putin

Russia is considering withdrawing from the grain deal, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with military reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, grain corridors are actively used by Ukraine to launch marine drones.

Report informs citing Russian media that in May, Russia extended its participation in the grain deal concluded in the summer of 2022 with Ukraine with the participation of the UN and Türkiye. It involves opening ports in Ukraine for the export of agricultural products, as well as unblocking the export of Russian food and fertilizers.

Moscow's main condition for the further extension of the deal was the reconnection of Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT. At the end of May, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that if the requirements of the Russian Federation are not met, the deal will cease to function.
