Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drones have been included in the arsenal of the Romanian Ground Forces, Report informs, citing the Romanian Defense Ministry.
Each of the three purchased sets will have six drones at a total cost of roughly $321 million. The Romanian military personnel will be able to carry out the first test flights at the end of June or at the beginning of July 2024.
Although the contract was signed last year, the UAVs were agreed to be delivered to Romania in June 2024, September 2024, and January 2025.
In February-June 2024, the first group of Romanian navigation personnel was trained at a production plant in Türkiye.
