Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that the sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East is a clear example of the failure of US policy, Report informs.

The Russian leader noted during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani in Moscow that to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, it is necessary to implement the decisions of the UN Security Council on the creation of an independent sovereign Palestinian state.

Putin stressed that the United States put pressure on Palestine and Israel “without taking into account the fundamental interests of the Palestinian people.”
