PM: Ukraine plans to allocate 50% of budget to military armament in 2 years

The Ukrainian government plans to allocate 50% of its national budget to military armament over the next two years, Ukraine’s newly appointed Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said during a presentation in Kyiv outlining the government’s new strategic priorities, Report informs.
“Our top priorities are defense and security, European integration, and anti-corruption measures,” she stated. “For 2026 alone, the budget allocation for war-related expenditures will reach $120 billion, including both domestic funding and international aid from our partners.”
Additionally, the Prime Minister noted that Ukraine aims to secure $37 billion in macro-financial assistance for 2026–2027.
