Plane crash leaves 1 killed in US

One person died and another was critically injured in a floatplane crash in Lake Sammamish in Washington, according to the Bellevue Fire Department, Report informs referring to The Seattle Times.
The person who died was an adult male who lived near Lake Sammamish, BFD spokesperson Heather Wong said. It’s unclear if he was the pilot or passenger. The plane was a Seawind 3000, according to preliminary information from the National Transportation Safety Board.
The two were the only occupants of the plane, the fire department said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Seawinds are small amphibian planes with four or five seats and are built from kits. Less than 100 such planes exist in the US.
