Pakistan to hold ministerial conference devoted to situation in Afghanistan

Pakistan on Sept. 8 will hold a video conference of the foreign ministers of China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to discuss the situation in Afghanistan, according to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, Report informs referring to Interfax.
The meeting participants will discuss “developments in Afghanistan to confront common challenges and assess the emerging opportunities to ensure regional stability and prosperity,” the ministry said.
“Afghanistan’s neighbors play a vital role in ensuring the stability of this country. A peaceful, united, sovereign, and prosperous Afghanistan will contribute to the development of transit trade and security in the region,” reads the statement.
