Over 600 people evacuated after fire at Russian Defense Ministry facility following drone attack

More than 600 residents have been evacuated due to a fire at a Russian Defense Ministry facility in Bolshaya Izhora, near Kronstadt in the Leningrad region.

According to Report, citing TASS, regional governor Alexander Drozdenko said that firefighting and response operations are ongoing.

"Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the fire at the Defense Ministry facility in Bolshaya Izhora, which occurred as a result of a UAV attack, are continuing. At the moment, more than 600 people have been evacuated from the security zone, 325 of them are in temporary accommodation centers, while the rest have gone to stay with relatives," Drozdenko said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had struck a Russian Navy base in Kronstadt.
