An airstrike in northeastern Nigeria has destroyed 16 Boko Haram militants, said John Enenche, a spokesman for the African Ministry of Defense.
Report informs, citing Anadolu, that the Nigerian Armed Forces, with the air force's support, conducted a large-scale anti-terrorist operation in the Kassa Kura region of Maiduguri state. "Eleven members of the criminal organization, many weapons were seized, terrorist hideouts were ruined," he stated.
Boko Haram has been active in Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, and Niger since the early 2000s. Since 2009, more than 20,000 people have fallen victim to this criminal organization.
