New round of Israel–Lebanon talks postponed

The next round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon, scheduled to take place in Rome next week, has been postponed, according to journalist Barak Ravid of Axios, Report informs.

"Next week's planned round of talks in Rome between Israel and Lebanon has been postponed," he wrote on X.

Instead of the Rome meeting, the ambassadors of the two countries will hold discussions at the US State Department in Washington, where they will review recent developments and the implementation of the framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

Earlier, Al Jazeera reported that the 8th round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon was scheduled for September 15–16 in Rome.
