Ukraine can attack Russian territory since this is Ukraine's right to self-defense, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said ahead of an informal meeting of NATO foreign affairs ministers, Report informs.
"Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine is a flagrant violation of international law. The right of self-defense is enshrined in the UN Charter," he noted.
Reminding that Russian President Vladimir Putin started the war, Stoltenberg noted that only he can stop it: "We support Ukraine and will continue to support it, but this does not make NATO a party to the conflict. NATO has two tasks: to support Ukraine and to prevent Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine from extending beyond that country."
