N12: Netanyahu and Katz order ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been instructed to halt strikes in Lebanon on the orders of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz.

According to Israel's N12 channel, cited by Report, the IDF has received orders to cease fire in Lebanon.

"Israeli forces will remain in the area of the 'Yellow Line,' and if Hezbollah does not violate the arrangements, Israel will also cease offensive operations," the report said.

According to the source, the decision was reached following coordination between Israel's political leadership and the United States, just one day after Netanyahu ordered intensified strikes on Lebanon over an alleged ceasefire violation by Hezbollah.

Over the past 24 hours, US President Donald Trump reportedly pressed for a ceasefire between the sides.

Earlier, Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to shipping, arguing that Israel and the United States had violated the provision of the agreement calling for a ceasefire on all fronts.
