Meloni: Italy receives €12.8B in penultimate EU recovery plan tranche

Italy has received the ninth and penultimate installment of funding under its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), worth 12.8 billion euros, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Thursday in a post on X, Report informs.
"Another concrete result that confirms a simple truth: on the implementation of the Plan, Italy is today ahead of everyone in Europe. Let's keep going like this, turning resources into achieved goals and concrete results for citizens, businesses, and territories," Meloni wrote.
The PNRR, financed through the European Union's post‑pandemic recovery fund, is designed to modernize Italy's economy and infrastructure. Rome has been among the fastest in the bloc to meet milestones required for disbursement.
