US First Lady Melania Trump has facilitated the return of six Ukrainian minors from Russia to their families in Ukraine, marking the fourth time she has helped reunite children separated by the war between the two countries, Report informs, citing the White House.
"Reunifying children with their loved ones in this region of the world remains one of the most important global issues today. I am encouraged that both sides remain committed to ongoing cooperation, raising the safety and well-being of children above this abhorrent war," Mrs. Trump said.
A seventh Ukrainian child is expected to return to family members later this month as part of the same reunification effort. The First Lady and her representatives continue working with both Russia and Ukraine to identify and reunite children displaced by the conflict.
