Biden administration officials have expressed concern that President Vladimir Putin of Russia could detonate a tactical nuclear weapon — perhaps in a demonstration blast over the Black Sea or the Arctic Ocean, or in Ukrainian territory — but on Saturday said there is no evidence yet that he is moving those weapons or preparing such a strike, said the article of the New York Times, Report informs.
According to experts, two senior officials said they do not believe Mr. Putin is poised to use nuclear weapons now, given the response it would draw from the West as well as from Moscow’s allies like China and India, who last week voiced their sternest criticism to date of the war.
