Major road accident in Ghana kills 11, injures 13

At least 11 people were killed and 13 others injured in a major road accident in Accra, the capital of Ghana, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said, according to Xinhua, cited by Report.
The accident occurred at the Ofankor checkpoint on the Accra-Kumasi highway in the outskirts of the Ghanaian capital. It involved two trucks, two minibuses, two passenger cars and a tricycle.
"Rescuers removed 11 unconscious victims from the scene and handed them over to the police. We later received confirmation that all 11 victims had died, while another 13 injured people were urgently taken to Achimota Hospital for medical treatment," emergency services said.
