Macron, Putin discuss Ukraine over phone

French President Emmanuel Macron and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on Saturday, Report informs with reference to the Elysee Palace.
The telephone conversation lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes. The heads of state discussed the situation around Ukraine.
Agence France-Presse also reported that the main topic of discussion in the telephone conversation between the leaders was Russia-Ukraine relations.
“French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for an hour and 40 minutes on Saturday to ease tensions in the Russia-Ukraine crisis,” the agency said.
