Macron grateful to Türkiye for assistance in fighting wildfires

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed gratitude to Türkiye for its support in combating the devastating forest fires in France, including the deployment of firefighting aircraft.
According to Report, Macron conveyed his thanks on his X social media account, writing: "Thank you, Türkiye!"
Large-scale wildfires continue to rage across France. In the Gironde department, the blaze has already consumed 42,000 hectares, forcing the evacuation of 220,000 people and injuring 84 firefighters.
French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu stated that a total of 13,566 fire outbreaks have been recorded nationwide, with the burned area reaching 116,085 hectares.
